It has been a couple of weeks since I was in Vegas and I have been asked a bit about those few days and I’ve been rather cagey. Although it was only a short relationship, I felt that I needed some time to get my head around what Vegas and I really had during that time.
Until 2am each evening I was hanging out with Maurie and Margs crew (to be known as the M&M’s). I’m not quite used to hanging out with this kind of crowd and when I saw them with pen and paper at the end of dinner one night I thought they were writing out their Wills – they were only writing their ‘Bucket Lists’.
It has flashing lights – what do they do?
They also loved playing the pokies… everytime I left them for 2 minutes they were on those darn things.
I’m only kidding, on the latter, not on the former. They did ask me for what would be at the top of my ‘Bucket List’, I’m not sure what my ‘fluff’ answer was but I didn’t think appropriate to say ‘Blonde triples’ which would have been my serious answer.
One of the great things about hanging out with this kind of crew…. they have daughters my age!!! The gorgeous Kate Doris….
And here is Kate after a 2 minute ride with me…..
Then I got to meet the folks….
That evening ended rather late and this was mid way through a pub crawl with some new friends – here they are. I’d name them if I could. Yes there was singing.
Speaking of singing – they brought out a Tim McGraw impersonator. My Aussie M&M’s thought it was Banjo Paterson but thanks to my mate Al I am a big fan these days… you guessed it, more singing.
Have a guess what Bruce is thinking…. Who invited this monkey?
Maurie is now a fan of Tim as well….
Maurie didn’t know what a dacari was but he was doing his best to fit in as well.
And after all that I would like to propose a toast….. chin, chin.
