I am a big fan of Monday’s. Easily my favourite day of the week but the last couple of Tuesday’s haven’t been too bad.
Today was Ben Lomond a 1400m accent straight up from town. Another gorgeous day although once on the ridge line the wind was much much stronger than we expected. It was a 5hr round trip and enjoying a rum now I can tell you.
Mt. Earnslaw (with a huge glacier on it) in the background (none of the snow there is stuff that has fallen recently – all glaciers).
Nancy and I had to wait for the Sherpas to bring up more bottled oxygen for the descent.
This was supposed to be me looking like I was jumping off the summit… didn’t quite work out. Am I playing the air guitar or have I just launched a torpedo from 65m to win the AFL Grand Final?
If you look closely I think you can see my nipples…. it was pretty cold up there.
