Not quite what you were thinking Wayne – the Virgin is Moc and he hasn’t skiied any pow before. Well hasn’t skiied any pow since his conversion to skiing.
We had 10 inches of Spring Storm snow (a little heavy) overnight and along with Al made first tracks this morning. The 4 of us were the first through the gate at South Bowl.
And here is Moc heading down….
By 11am there were a few people around and in order to avoid slope Nazi’s Andy, Moc and I went hiking again up to Independence Bowl. Not quite as nice a day as 2 weeks ago but the snow was still pretty good although it was getting a little heavier which caused some trouble for Moc.
With the warming temps avalanches was on our mind so we didn’t want more than 1 person on the slope at one time. With all of Moc’s crashes there was a bit of waiting…. schleepy time.
Finally I got to lay some turns – one one crappy photo but we did get video footage.
After all those crashes Moc was hurting and needed an Evac from Independence Bowl (it is just over an hour walk out and then a pretty long run back to the lifts). If I’ve stretched the truth…. there is nothing you can do about it Moc.
