Big Saturday

Big Saturday doesn’t quite roll off the tongue as well as Big Wednesday but it pretty accurately describes what we got up to yesterday. 8:30am – departure from Hidden River to go hiking up Independence Bowl. 11am – Independence trip thwarted by anal ski partol so we skied an ever knarlier run. T & B

Tamatha and Bungy are here – so far it has been pretty full on.  A couple of huge nights to start off the trip – I think this was about 4am. Terrigal

After fear of mid 40’s temps my trip to Terrigal has been pretty much rained out.  First couple of days were surf and golf but since then it has rained every day. Golf at Otatara (beautiful old golf club), Rob, Murray and I joined in the members comp.  Then down to Bluff to pick up a jetboat and fush and chups (no oysters though – not happy about that). As a side note… if anyone has a soft spot for ‘not so good looking’ women, Invercargill is probably a place you should check out. Continue reading Wednesday

Tuesday

Monday was a ripper of a day.  Forecast for a fine week is holding up so here is what I did today (Tuesday). Starting off with 18 holes at my favourite golf course, Jack’s Point, with Pete and Rob.  Green fees today were just under USD$30.  I just can’t put my finger on how much I like this course. The ‘meat bomber’ (tandem skydiving plane). … Continue reading Tuesday
