Today is Tuesday and I’m a fan of Tuesday’s. The 2 Dave’s and I were up at Remarks working on our steep powder skiing and the conditions were playing along.
There was one jump which we got some footage of and things just worked out that everyone got filmed skiing this – the jump is at the bottom of the East Face and if you live to talk about the East Face then jumps don’t seem that big.
We’ll start with Dave the Sailor – who is also a gymnast hence his form in the air….
My turn now – I’m a fat bastard… hence my speed into the jump……
Dirty Dave will bring it home. Pre-Noon skiing might improve your jumping mate – hahaha. I had to have a shot at you for being late.
Now onto the real stuff… Here is Dave the Sailor’s run down the East Face.
Dirty Dave’s run down.
And my run down – starting off with the worlds biggest jump turn.
Here are some video clips finally. Remember – right click on the link and then ‘Save Target As’.
Me in Elevator Chute showing off to the new instructors (54meg). It prolly doesn’t look like it but I nailed this run and it is bloody steep. Ow and there are about 20 people on the summit watching – no pressure. Here are a couple of screen shots from that clip.
This is me skiing a line 2 chutes to the left of the run above (150meg). This is the first run I’ve done down here and the snow was a little heavy with the warming temps (hence the black jacket). I’m sure you’ll all enjoy my very very near crash half way down. Couple of pics from it here.
Two final clips to round out this post. First one is Dave the Sailor playing around at the bottom of east face (150meg). Final one is me on the East Face (150meg). The clips aren’t that long but I haven’t reduced the quality so that explains why they are such big files.
