These are pics taken from the day when we were scoping a hike off the backside (see the next post).
A-Basin is one of my favourite places on the planet; it is laid back, the skiing is the steepest in Summit County, there are no slope Nazi’s, every 2nd person up there can kick my arse skiing, the views up there are the closest you can get to NZ views, there is no attitude, there are more skiiers than homo-chariots and it is open for skiing 240+ days a year.
So Andy, Moc and I headed up there this Sunday arvo. This is Andy and Moc skiing the East Face.
The East Face at A-Basin is pretty steep (the chutes above are seriously steep) and this was Moc’s first really steep run – and he threw out a “That’s Tops”. You nailed that run Moc and if you were on your homo-chariot you wouldn’t have been able to ski it because of the traverse…..
