Winter has arrived in Queenstown…. As a result the subi has started growing white hair……. That is a ‘frostball’ not a ‘snowball’.

This is Lake Rere (I’m sure the word ‘Rere’ is Maori but in the UK it means ‘retarted’ – so I’m told).
This pic is taken from the opposite end of Lake Retard. The river had some bigger rainbow trout in it but these brown trout were only about a foot in lenght. Not worth taking home but good enuf for lunch……

Two months ago, my first weekend back in town, my mates took me out on a 3 day fishing trip. What is done on tour, stays on tour but I did loose a bet and instead of being punched in the arm I chose to swim across the bay in 8C (48F) water. The bridge in the background in the bridge in the photo above.
