The M&M’s were my last guests of the winter and I tell you what, they were a hoot!!!!!
I thought that the Chateau Grindlay had 300yrs of total age in the house but I found out it was only 292 years. Still enough for a new record.
When I’m on my own I try and keep the total age of the house at 50, 60 or 120 (lust, love or money).
Maurie, Marg, Bruce and Carmel were like a storm front. Holy moly….. they rocked up and every, single, night we drank LOTS whether it was over a roast or over cards. I ate more in 7 days than I normally do in a month but I had to just to keep up with these oldies.
I must mention though – I never once heard a complaint about the altitude….. maybe it is because Bundy is much more powerful than an 8% decrease in the oxygen levels at 10,000 feet.
Enough of me rambling – time for some pics.
We’ll start off with some pics around the Chateau Grindlay – Bruce and Maurie are very wrinkly so I figured they would be hottubs fans.
And since there is no such thing as a free lunch – I had the boys do some work for me. Maurie replacing light bulbs – he showed me how to do it and I think I could do it myself next time.
Here are some pics around Keystone.
One afternoon we went for a hike…..
Then we went to Breckenridge for some skiing – Maurie was keen…..
But Marg sacked up.
Then we went to Steamboat for an overnight trip.
During the trip, I had the chance to introduce M&M and Bruce and Carmel one of the girls in my life…. Poly. They liked Poly!!!!
What perfect guests – they bring Bundy, they don’t complain, they don’t wake up until about 9am and they are sound asleep by 10pm – The Chateau Grindlay is Koala friendly and I can’t wait to see you guys again.
Great photos, great time, great host and great memories. Xxxx
